Siemens Actuator Servomotor SQM5 Series is an electromotive actuator designed to control the position of air and gas dampers in medium- to large-capacity oil and gas burner systems. It is engineered to regulate combustion air and fuel flow according to the operating load requirements of the combustion system.
The actuator features a reversible electromotive drive, allowing both clockwise and counterclockwise rotation. Depending on the model, it delivers up to 40 Nm of torque and incorporates adjustable cams for position setting, along with internal and external position indicators.
Siemens SQM5 can be used with 3-position or modulating controllers, including systems using 4–20 mA control signals through suitable electronic modules. Depending on the system configuration, it can also be operated directly by burner controls.
Maximum Torque of 40 Nm: Models are available with torque ratings ranging from 10 to 40 Nm, making them suitable for damper systems with different load requirements.
Reversible Motor: Equipped with a synchronous motor that allows the direction of rotation to be changed.
Adjustable Running Time: Running times range from 10 to 90 seconds, depending on the model and operating conditions.
Adjustable Cams: Rotating cams allow precise adjustment of switching positions, with scales indicating the switching angles.
Position Indication: Internal position scales and an external viewing window allow the rotational position to be monitored.
Electronic Module Option: Optional electronic modules support actuator control and position feedback signals.
Exchangeable Drive Shaft: The drive shaft can be replaced, with options for single-ended or double-ended shaft configurations.
Protection Class IP54: The actuator provides IP54 protection when mounting openings are properly closed and cable entries are adequately sealed.
